Part-Time Sales & Operations Associate

We're looking for a warm, hospitable, and detail-oriented part-time Sales & Operations associate to join our team. This is a hands-on role that combines customer service and sales with backend retail operations. The ideal candidate enjoys both people and projects - balancing creating an inviting shopping experience for customers while also handling behind-the-scenes logistics. As a small business, members of our team must be comfortable jumping between different types of tasks throughout the day while working independently. We highly value the willingness to be self-starters, flexible to any need that may arise, and collaborative in day-to-day functions. 

Please note that the hours for the position are set as follows:
      - Tuesday and Thursday 2 - 5p
      - Saturday 9:45a - 5p

Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Experience

• Welcome customers and provide hospitable, knowledgeable service

• Engage with customers about products and gift recommendations

• Operate the POS system with confidence, processing sales and exchanges

• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually inspiring space

• Restock and merchandise products throughout the store

• Handle gift wrapping

• Open and/or close the shop as needed

Retail Operations

• Receive and unpack incoming shipments

• Check deliveries against packing slips and organize new inventory

• Barcode and merchandise all incoming products

• Help maintain accurate inventory and identify inventory discrepancies

• Organize back stock and keep the warehouse tidy

• Assist with product transfers, reorders, and other day-to-day inventory tasks

Website & E-Commerce

• Learn and assist with maintaining our website

• Add and update product listings, photos, descriptions, pricing, and inventory

• Keep online product information accurate and up to date

• Assist with online order fulfillment and shipping as needed

Qualifications

• Connection-oriented with a friendly disposition and desire to be helpful

• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently

• Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills

• Comfortable learning new systems and technology

• Able to move between customer-facing and behind-the-scenes tasks throughout the day

• Takes initiative and anticipates what needs to be done before being asked

• Retail, hospitality, customer service, or e-commerce experience is a plus, but not required
