Shop & Customer Experience Manager
full-time
weekend availability required
We're looking for a warm, hospitable, and detail-oriented full-time Shop & Customer Service Manager to join our team. Sidebloom runs hand-in-hand with Our Heiday, our in-house stationery and gift brand; this role will be the most customer-facing position on our team. As a small business, we highly value the willingness to be self-starters, flexible to any need that may arise, and collaborative in day-to-day functions.
Job Description
- Serve as the main point of contact for all customers, including in-person, online, and wholesale accounts
- Maintain a cheerful, warm and engaged posture while greeting customers, responding to questions, and providing excellent customer service overall
- Ensure all day-to-day operations of the shop are running smoothly on both the Sidebloom and Our Heiday sides of the business
- Manage sales and fulfillment assistant staff, delegating tasks and providing check-ins regularly
- Oversee Shopify inventory and backend website clean up, receiving new products as they come in
- Operate point-of-sale system with confidence and attention to detail
- Fulfill any online wholesale/retail orders that may arise
- Brainstorm and execute opportunities for community building + customer engagement
- Order any necessary supplies or equipment for overall operations
- Handle accounts receivable/payable when applicable
- Maintain a beautiful, clean, and inviting store and a clean, organized warehouse
- Train any new hires to the sales or fulfillment staff
- Set a cheerful, positive tone for the space at large
Qualifications
- Self-starter with a strong sense of personal and professional initiative
- Passion for small business and building community, with a willingness to embrace the fluid nature of a creative company
- Strong written and oral communication skills with a refined understanding of customer service
- Acute attention to detail and desire to perform duties with excellence
- Cheerful attitude with willingness to learn
- BA/BS required
- At least (1) year of experience in a retail setting or customer service setting and/or e-commerce platforms preferred
